In ihren Poemen zeigt sich eine Experimentierfreude, die sie zuvor in der Auseinandersetzung mit Traditionen nicht hatte. Zu dieser Zeit übertrug sie auch Christian Morgenstern in ein spannungsreiches Englisch, in dem sie freier war als in ihrer „Mutter- und Mördersprache“ Deutsch. Das Konvolut, das schließlich von Helmut Braun gewissenhaft verwaltet wurde, wird nun erstmals ediert und historisch-kritisch aufgearbeitet. Es berücksichtigt alle Fassungen der einzelnen Texte, von denen einige auch als Faksimile präsentiert werden. Damit wird eine wesentliche Lücke im Schaffen der großen Lyrikerin geschlossen, und bedeutende Aspekte ihrer Dichtung werden neu erlebbar.

V antologii Malé lalulá se sešli čtyři klasici německého nonsensu: Němci Christian Morgenstern a Joachim Ringelnatz a Rakušané Hans Carl Artmann a Ernst Jandl. Každý z nich stvořil osobitou poezii, kterou spojuje myšlenková hravost a nápaditá práce s jazykem. Záměrem editora, básníka a překladatele Radka Malého, bylo představit jejich básně v nových překladech také dětským čtenářům, ačkoli se většinou nejedná o poezii určenou přímo jim. I z toho důvodu vychází výbor v dvojjazyčné podobě: každou z těchto básní si tvořivý čtenář může přečíst, přeložit nebo vymyslet znovu a jinak.
