William N. Fenton

    William Nelson Fenton was an American scholar and writer renowned for his extensive studies of Iroquois history and culture. Following his graduation from Dartmouth College, he pursued a doctorate in anthropology at Yale University. Throughout his career, Fenton served as an ethnologist with the Smithsonian Institution, directed the New York State Museum, and held a professorship in anthropology at the State University of New York.
