In dieser Dissertation werden theoretische Resultate für spinabhängige Effekte in den elektronischen Systemen von Metallen und Halbleitern präsentiert. Im ersten Teil werden dynamische Rechnungen zur Bestimmung der Spinrelaxation von optisch angeregten Elektronen diskutiert. Dabei werden in unterschiedlichen Regimen der Dyakonov-Perel-, der Elliott-Yafet- und der Bir-Aronov-Pikus-Mechanismus untersucht. Im zweiten Teil der Arbeit wird ein Modell auf Basis des Elliott-Yafet-Mechanismus für die optisch induzierte ultraschnelle Demagnetisierung in ferromagnetischen Übergangsmetallen vorgestellt. Im letzten Teil werden Korrelationen in einem eindimensionalen Kondo-Gittermodell untersucht. Hierbei werden im Verhalten der Korrelationslänge Charakteristika eines Phasenübergangs zweiter Ordnung in eine supraleitende Phase mit verstärkter Cooper-Paar-Produktion beobachtet. Die Clusterentwicklung, die das theoretische Werkzeug für die vorgenannten Untersuchungen darstellt, wird sowohl für den Fall von effektiven Einteilchengleichungen als auch für korrelierte Größen vorgestellt.
