Doch Freunde drängelten, und der Kadera-Verlag wollte den Geschichten gern eine Chance geben. Passen sie doch wie gerufen in unsere Zeit, die Aufatmen und Zuversicht benötigt. Bücher müssen sichtbar sein! Reisekaufmann Neumann mobilisierte für den Start seine Kontakte in der Kulturszene und lud zu Lesungen ein. Journalist Knut Terjung lobte: »Es ist feinsinnig und voller Zuneigung für Menschen.« Diese Einschätzung hat Substanz: Der Autor spendet sein Honorar an zwei Hamburger Projekte für Obdachlose. »Bei meinen Kontakten vor Ort habe ich erkannt, dass diese Unterstützung sehr wichtig ist. Hymnen des Alltags sollten es werden. Doch eher nicht streng, denn der Autor ist bekannt für Humor und eine große Portion Menschlichkeit. Und: Reise-Experte, Kunstkenner, Wochenmarkt-Kunde, hungriger Bücher-Fan. Sein Herz schlägt für kleine, liebevoll gestaltete Ausgaben. Lyrik, Karikaturen und Humoristen beflügeln seine Fantasie. Wann er seine spontan entstandenen Gedankensplitter zu Papier gebracht hat, bleibt sein Geheimnis. Um so mehr war ich auf das »Eingemachte« gespannt – schließlich überrascht. Seine Philosophie hat mich, selbst Jugendbuchautor, immer ermutigt: Die gebogenen Tische, auf denen Schwergewichte der Literatur um unsere Gunst buhlen, sind nicht entscheidend für unser Wohlsein. Das kleine, aber feine Büchlein wird nie in jedem Regal stehen, wohl aber in vielen Herzen der Leser, die das Anregende und Köstliche lieben. Die Texte sind verfasst – nun lasst sie klingen, die kleinen »Hymnen an den Alltag«. Peter Jäger, Quickborn
