More about the book

The 11th Conference on Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Networking, and Parallel/Distributed Computing (SNPD 2010) took place from June 9 to 11, 2010, in London, UK, aiming to unite researchers, scientists, entrepreneurs, educators, and students to explore various computer science fields and exchange ideas. Conference officers selected the top 15 papers from those accepted for presentation, based on review scores from the program committee and additional rigorous evaluations. Chapter 1 features a new shape decomposition method by Cai Luyuan et al., utilizing a refined morphological process. Chapter 2 presents Kazunori Iwata et al.'s approach to minimizing errors in effort and error prediction models for embedded software projects through artificial neural networks (ANNs). In Chapter 3, Viliam Šimko et al. introduce a model-driven tool that generates system code from use-cases articulated in plain English. Chapter 4 discusses a Case Base Maintenance (CBM) method by Abir Smiti and Zied Elouedi, which employs machine learning techniques to maintain system competence. Finally, Chapter 5 by Shagufta Henna and Thomas Erlebach analyzes widely used broadcasting schemes in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) and suggests adaptive enhancements to an existing broadcasting algorithm.
