This volume contains a list of contributors, six papers without a special common main topic, and instructions for authors. The contributions deal with the restricted suitability of the lateral angle of the petrous bone Meatus acusticus internus for sexing archaeological cremated human remains due to unpredictable thermic changes on the pyre [Göhring, Grupe], the history of the Society of Anthropology GfA founded in 1992 [Greil, Grupe], the establishment of dairying economy in the Bavarian Neolithic before 3000 B. C. as revealed by isotopic foodwebs of 56 Neolithic skeletons [Hagl, Becker, Grupe], the relatively close correlation of animal representations in chamber tombs of the Middle Empire at Beni Hassan and animal remains from contemporaneous sacred and profane archaeological contexts at Abydos, Central Egypt [Lengning, Peters], the microstructural organisation of European roe deer bone, Capreolus capreolus, by 22 examples from the Bavarian Forest [Lihl, Hoke, Fiderer, Heurich, Grupe], and with Arabia Felix, the country of the Queen of Saba, as reflected by animal bones from five archaeological excavations of the 1st mill.
