Promotion am Institut für Sozialpsychologie der Universität Mannheim, seit 1973 Professorin am Studiengang Psychologie der Universität Bremen. Ihre Arbeitsschwerpunkte sind die Emotions- und Motivationspsychologie, die Umweltpsychologie und die Marketingpsychologie.
