Hermann Lang's Language and the Unconscious is the standard introduction to the "philosophical" psychoanalysis of Jacques Lacan in Germany. His treatise advances the thesis that the unifying force behind the Lacanian oeuvre is the efficacy of the "talking cure" itself.
