On the occasion of their eightieth anniversary, the fourth generation of architects at HPP examines this question and uses it as the starting point for this monograph. The creative process at HPP is marked by confrontation and discussion, continuity and innovation. The architecture they design thus develops between the priorities of individual perception and social context. In the first part of the book the partners reflect on their collaboration and collective attitude, presenting eighteen of their current projects as examples. The second part supplements this with a comprehensive chronicle and is devoted to how the zeitgeist and social developments in Germany have influenced HPP projects.
