On the Existence of Evils

Proclus' "On the Existence of Evils" addresses the question of how evil exists in a providential world. Unlike Plotinus, who viewed evil as mere privation, Proclus argues that evil is real and acts as a parasite on good. He defends higher beings as causes of good, asserting that evil has no proper cause.
