The study investigates the toxicity of synthetic oxytocin (OT) on female mice, focusing on its various biological functions through different receptors. Thirty-six female mice were divided into control and treated groups, receiving intraperitoneal doses of OT or physiological saline. Over 30, 60, and 90 days, the research assessed body weight, estrus cycles, hematological and biochemical parameters, hormonal levels, and brain biogenic amines, alongside histopathological evaluations. The research adhered to ethical guidelines set by the Institutional Animals Ethics Committee in Bhopal, India.
