More about the book
High-intensity interval training (HIIT) demonstrates significant health benefits in combating diet-induced obesity, as shown in a study using C57BL/6 mice. After 12 weeks on either standard or high-fat diets, trained mice exhibited reductions in body mass, blood glucose, and inflammation. HIIT improved insulin sensitivity and altered lipid profiles, enhancing fatty acid oxidation while decreasing fat storage in both liver and muscle. This research highlights HIIT's potential to mitigate the negative effects of high-fat diets and improve metabolic health.
