More about the book
The biography explores Philip Edward Thomas's life as a Welsh-born poet and writer, detailing his education, literary career, and friendship with Robert Frost. Initially a book reviewer and biographer, he only began writing poetry in 1914, adopting the pseudonym 'Edward Eastaway.' His poignant works, especially on the English countryside, gained recognition. Enlisting in the military during World War I, he tragically died in 1917. Despite a brief career, Thomas's legacy endures, culminating in his commemoration in Westminster Abbey's Poet's Corner.
