More about the book
The study explores the evolution of summer camps in Ontario into year-round programs, highlighting the unique challenges and strategies involved. Through interviews with camp directors, it identifies eight key themes, including planning, marketing, and staffing, which reveal insights into the transition process. Utilizing Kurt Lewin's Three-Step model of planned change, the research categorizes these themes into stages of unfreezing, changing, and refreezing, while also acknowledging two additional relevant themes. This examination sheds light on the benefits and financial justifications for year-round operations.
