His dream leads him to a chamber adorned with stained glass and a hunting party, ultimately guiding him into a forest where he encounters a sorrowful black knight grieving for lost love. The poet grapples with the knight's sorrow until awakening, inspired to immortalize his enchanting dream in verse. This work serves as a poignant allegory mourning Blanche of Lancaster.
