More about the book

Kids put to bed, the house quiet, Tony and Jill finally have time to themselves. Jill flips on the TV while Tony wants them to go through a marriage survey he saw on Oprah. Jill is more intent on watching TV -"Talking takes too much energy." Frustration mounts, the conversation becomes heated and accusations fly and unresolved issues surface. A peculiar role-reversal that seems to be taking place - Tony is sensitive and Jill is insensitive. We learn that they are doing a role reversal as recommended by their counselor, Dr. Grainger. They applaud each other for portraying the other so well. As they turn in for the evening, Tony's hint at an amorous bedtime angers Jill. They are back to square one and will discuss it with Dr. Grainger at their next appointment.
