More about the book

In this monologue, a woman reminisces about a fellow employee, Marsha, she sat with at last year's Christmas party. Although Marsha worked in the mailroom and didn't have the same rank in the company, the woman actually had a good time with her. She wrote down her name to call her sometime on a list of things to do-just below taking in the Jetta for emissions testing. But just like so many important, but not urgent things, she never called Marsha, and last summer, Marsha died of an overdose. She had had a chemical imbalance and was now gone forever. The woman was left wondering what she might have done, what possibilities now are impossible. She keeps the "to do list" as a reminder of what ought to be her priorities in life.Topics: VALUING PEOPLECharacters: 1 FEMALEParticipants: 1Author: Mark Demel
