A few years ago, while taking a break from my volunteer church duties, I decided to simply seek God. I threw out all I had come to believe and started over. I felt compelled to keep a journal and, as a result, developed an interest in writing. As I felt I was making good progress, God saw fi t to accelerate that progress with an intense storm. It was not pleasant, but in it, I found Him. I had worked for Him, but now I was learning to walk with Him. For the purpose of correcting the market of our souls, God sometimes uses storms to bring us back to Him. The claim you will find in this book is that we have a very real enemy, whose goal is to distract us from God's best. Hudson Taylor once said, "God does not give us overcoming lives. He gives life to those who overcome." Though this is not a how-to' book, in it are the lessons I have learned about how Satan distracts, how God strengthens, and the incredible benefits available to those who learn them.
