Francisco de Vitoria

    Francisco de Vitoria was a Spanish philosopher, theologian, and jurist who made significant contributions to the theory of just war and international law. He is recognized as the founder of the School of Salamanca tradition. Vitoria developed the concept of a 'republic of the whole world,' laying foundational ideas for the later development of global political philosophy and international law.
