Paula Findlen is an American academic and historian whose work focuses on the history of science and medicine, and the history of the Renaissance. Her scholarship delves into museums, collecting, and scientific culture in early modern Italy. Her writing analyzes how the natural worlds were collected, organized, and interpreted within early modern European societies. Findlen examines early modern science as a cultural and social practice.
