The essay "The Servant as Leader" by Bob Greenleaf stands out as a profound statement on leadership, offering insights that resonate deeply amidst a plethora of managerial literature. Peter M. Senge emphasizes its significance, urging serious leaders to engage with Greenleaf's ideas rather than other conventional texts. Max DePree highlights the growing momentum for enlightened leadership across various sectors, noting the scarcity of quality resources that address the values driving this movement. He considers the book a valuable gift for those who prioritize their responsibilities and relationships. M. Scott Peck shares examples of businesses that successfully utilized servant-leadership during crises, only to abandon these practices once challenges subsided. He points to the difficulty of embedding these principles into organizational culture. Jim Kouzes praises Greenleaf's legacy, asserting that true leaders recognize the power of purpose over position. Peter Block acknowledges Greenleaf's influence in integrating spirit and values into the workplace, ensuring his ideas remain relevant for future leaders. Over the past twenty-five years, Greenleaf's vision of servant-leadership has significantly impacted management theory, portraying leaders as those who empower others. This collection features key essays by Greenleaf and prominent thinkers like Peck and Senge, exploring the ethical use of power and the transformative po

    • Now featuring a new introduction by Dr. M. Scott Peck, the twenty-fifth anniversary edition of the classic bestseller The Road Less Traveled, celebrated by The Washington Post as “not just a book but a spontaneous act of generosity.” Perhaps no book in this generation has had a more profound impact on our intellectual and spiritual lives than The Road Less Traveled. With sales of more than seven million copies in the United States and Canada, and translations into more than twenty-three languages, it has made publishing history, with more than ten years on the New York Times bestseller list. Written in a voice that is timeless in its message of understanding, The Road Less Traveled continues to help us explore the very nature of loving relationships and leads us toward a new serenity and fullness of life. It helps us learn how to distinguish dependency from love; how to become a more sensitive parent; and ultimately how to become one’s own true self. Recognizing that, as in the famous opening line of his book, “Life is difficult” and that the journey to spiritual growth is a long one, Dr. Peck never bullies his readers, but rather guides them gently through the hard and often painful process of change toward a higher level of self-understanding.

    • Just as The Road Less Traveled   provided hope and guidance for individuals seeking  growth, this major new work by M. Scott Peck,  M.D., offers a needed prescription for our deeply  ailing society. Our illness is   Incivility --morally destructive patterns of  self-absorption, callousness, manipulativeness, and  materialism so ingrained in our routine behavior that we  do not even recognize them. There is a deepening  awareness that something is seriously wrong with  our personal and organizational lives. Using  examples from his own life, case histories, and  dramatic scenarios of businesses that made a conscious  decision to bring civility to their organizations ,  Dr. Peck demonstrates how change can be effected  and how we and our organizations can be restored to  health. This wise, practical, and radical book is  a blueprint for achieving personal and societal  well-being.

Należy ciągle do niej powracać w poszukiwaniu inspiracji i zrozumienia siebie i otaczającego nas świata”. LIBRARY JOURNAL

Právě začíná zima a s ní přichází i sníh. Uvažování nad koloběhem vloček, závějemi sněhu a „putováním“ vody po Zemi vedou Janu k myšlenkám o Bohu, ke kterému si i díky příhodě s neobyčejnou sněhovou vločkou vytváří nový, osobní vztah.
