Po čase si Kitty uvědomí, že jejich přátelství přerostlo v lásku a rozhodne se s Harrym přetrhat všechna pouta, aby nestála v cestě k jeho úspěšné budoucnosti. Po několika neúspěšných adopcích se nakonec smíří s tetou a začnou bydlet spolu. Jednoho dne však osud opět svede Kitty a Harryho dohromady..
