Rey Margret Series

Margret Rey, alongside her husband H. A. Rey, co-authored and illustrated beloved children's books, most famously the adventures of Curious George. Fleeing Nazism from Germany to Brazil and eventually settling in Paris before emigrating to America, the Reys developed a deeply collaborative and dynamic creative process. Margret focused primarily on crafting the whimsical narratives, while Hans brought the charming characters to life through his illustrations, though they both shared in all stages of development.
