August William Derleth

August Derleth was an American writer and anthologist, primarily celebrated for his role in publishing H.P. Lovecraft and for his own contributions to cosmic horror and the Cthulhu Mythos. He founded Arkham House, a crucial publisher that brought supernatural fiction into hardcover print in the US. Beyond these contributions, Derleth was a leading American regional writer, also prolific in genres like historical fiction and poetry. His most ambitious work, the Sac Prairie Saga, sought to memorialize life in Wisconsin and showcased his pioneering spirit as a naturalist and conservationist.

For the few mortals who dare to glimpse this unknowable world, the result is a complete disconnect from what was once considered reality
