Set against the backdrop of the 1700s, the story follows Kenthaki, a Shawnee youth on a quest for purpose, armed with his father's obsidian knife and medicinal herbs. His life changes dramatically after a bear encounter and a bond with a Christian captive. Generations later, his grandson Bro'Ken embarks on a journey to find his missing father, facing transformative challenges. Inspired by the Lewis and Clark re-enactment, the narrative delves into the significance of personal quests and the effects of cultural intersections.
