Walter Lure was an American musician, guitarist, and singer, best known as a member of The Heartbreakers. His music was defined by a raw energy and urgency that resonated within the punk scene. Though he later pursued other professions, he never stopped creating music until the end of his life, continuing to perform with his band, The Waldos.
Alongside Richard Hell, Walter Lure is the last surviving member of seminal punk band Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers, and the only one who was there for the full stretch.
