He spent the first thirteen years of his life in Germany. After graduating from the University of London, he went to Cambridge, where he worked as a researcher and lecturer. At the age of twenty-nine, a profound spiritual transformation radically changed the course of his life.

He has been a counselor and spiritual teacher for the last ten years, working with individuals and small groups in Europe and North America. He has lived in Vancouver, British Columbia since 1996.
