Gim Manjung was a Joseon period Korean novelist and politician whose most renowned works were novels that offered satirical depictions of political reality. His writing explored family affairs and the travails of heroes, often imbuing them with profound Buddhist undertones that emphasized the transience of worldly glory and pleasure. Through his literary creations, Gim Manjung provided both engaging narratives and sharp social commentary.
