Robert McLellan was a Scottish dramatist, poet, and prose writer, primarily working in the Scots language. His plays were largely popular comedies, distinguished by exceptionally well-realized historical settings. He also contributed to dramatic verse and is celebrated for his Linmill stories, which stand as significant examples of 20th-century Scots prose.
