Trevor Rhone was a significant Jamaican writer and playwright, instrumental in the renaissance of Jamaican theatre in the early 1970s. After studying at an English drama school, he began his theatre career and co-founded Theatre '77, which established The Barn in Kingston to stage local performances and foster professional theatre on the island.
