Focusing on the interplay between climate change, land cover and land use (LCLU) change, and soil organic carbon, this book examines the semi-arid rural zone of Senegal from 1960 to 2050. Utilizing remote sensing, social surveys, and biogeochemical modeling, it investigates how these factors influence agro-ecosystems. The research aims to enhance understanding of future LCLU changes in West Africa, offering valuable insights for policymakers to develop effective environmental and economic strategies in response to climate variability and human impacts.
