Focusing on the advantages of space framed (3D) roof trusses, the study explores their efficiency in industrial structures compared to conventional 2D trusses. It emphasizes reduced time and cost in design, along with enhanced adaptability and easier fabrication. The analysis includes a specific truss design with dimensions of 18m span and 6m width, utilizing STAAD Pro for 2D frame analysis and manual wind analysis per IS 875 (Part III) 1987. The findings reveal that a well-designed 3D truss can be 30-50% lighter than its 2D counterpart, highlighting significant economic benefits.
