Various is the appropriate author designation for books featuring multiple unknown authors, or when the list of authors is exceptionally long (exceeding 50). This option is also acceptable for works with multiple known authors, particularly if not all are identified or the roster is extensive. However, if an editor is identified, the use of 'Various' is unnecessary. In such instances, list the editor's name as the primary author, assigning them the role of 'editor,' followed by the contributing authors.
