Antony Pogorelskij Book order
Antony Pogorelsky was a Russian prose writer whose work often drew from the German fantastic tradition. His collection "The Double, or My Evenings in Little Russia" anticipated later famous works in Russian literature. He achieved significant fame with his fairy tale "Black Hen, or Living Underground," a pioneering work exploring childhood in Russian literature. Pogorelsky's novel "Monastyrka" was also well-received, celebrated for its blend of sentimental and romantic elements.
