Partricia Schröder

Born in the Wesermarsch region, the author later moved to Düsseldorf, where she pursued studies in textile design and worked in the field. Upon the birth of her children, she relocated with her family and a multitude of cats to the seaside. The vastness and tranquility of the North Frisian marshlands ignited her imagination, prompting her to begin writing. She has since become one of Germany's most successful authors of children's and young adult literature, with her novels translated into several languages. Her proximity to the sea and travels to the Channel Islands inspired the story of Elodie and Gordian.
