Praying for the nations and governments of the world is neither secondary nor an afterthought as instructed by the letter of apostle Paul. The magnitude of this assignment is often understated and the originality thereof is almost lost to present day Christians. Every government matters to their citizens including Christians in every nation. They can impact our peace and prosperity, they can influence our liberty in spreading the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Sharing the gospel was almost brought to a halt during the recent lockdown. Thank God, the siege ended as we prayed. Government officials like any other leader can be targeted by invisible forces as explained in this book just to afflict the citizens of the nation. Mankind is God's choice to ascertain that we lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. Remember this about prayer, "No nation was born a super-nation (God's Own Country, ) but every nation has a super God." He is the governor among the nations of the earth (Psalm 22:28.) May our nations rise out of obscurity as we pray and may God's will prevail on all fronts!

It is incredible to think that prayer has endured through the ages and persisted with men even from the beginning of creation. Regardless of all the challenges of the evolving world system, prayer has continued to thrive. Thanks to God for those that have kept the fire of prayer burning. "To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing." - Martin Luther The Holy Scripture informs that God is no respecter of persons. Whatever God did for one He can do for others. Apostle James wrote that Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are. I have since discovered that regarding prayer, "No one is born a superman, but we all have a super God."
