Four-year-old Bridgette, "Mini Muffin" just wants one thing for her birthday and that is to go to the fair. She has a meltdown when she finds out that it's too wet for the fair and her friends can't play with her on her special day. Unexpectedly, she makes a new friend and learns that love is all she needs for a truly happy birthday.

Luis is a four-year-old boy who has moved to the United States from El Salvador. He is deaf and doesn't know any English. The thought of preschool is scary for him, but his parents and brother encourage him to be brave and make new friends.
