Manabendra Nath Roy was an Indian revolutionary, radical activist, and political theorist who, after departing from the mainstream communist movement, pursued independent radical politics. He was a founder of communist parties in Mexico and India and played a pivotal role in the formation of the Radical Democratic Party.
