Nigel Allsopp

    Nigel Allsopp is a preeminent authority on canines, with extensive experience including 15 years as a military working dog handler in the Royal New Zealand Air Force Police. During his military tenure, he oversaw all aspects of canine operations and training within the NZ Defence Force. Transitioning from military service, Allsopp pursued wild canine research, working with various wolf species and African Cape hunting dogs in Australian wildlife parks. His career then returned to law enforcement, serving as a senior constable in the Queensland Police Service's Dog Section, where he trains specialist detection dogs and currently works with a firearms/explosive-detection dog. He is a prolific author of books on war and police dogs, and contributes to international law enforcement and military journals.
