The callous humor shared among law enforcement officers forms a unique bond between Cody Hunter and his two close associates, who rely on each other for their lives. Each man brings distinct skills in combat, shooting, and athleticism, despite their varied backgrounds. Cody, a warm-hearted cowboy, is the newest member of a federal group that discreetly employs individuals for high-risk missions. He enjoys flying and has a penchant for landing enemy aircraft harshly, much to his comrades' dismay. At thirty-three, he stands six-one with cold blue eyes and light hair. Bob, also six-one but dark-haired with brown eyes, hails from the Ozarks and prefers hunting over conflict. Leo, a muscular five-ten with orange hair and a ruddy complexion, thrives on confrontations and has a knack for shooting, though he struggles with running. After three years of successful missions, including evading capture by Saddam Hussein, the trio believes they’ve settled into normal lives. However, they are soon alerted that the cartels they previously dismantled have survived and hired mercenaries to capture and torture them. Cody, at home in Tucson, and Bob, at a payphone, receive urgent calls from Dan, their boss at the D.E.A. Leo, meanwhile, finds himself in jail in Israel. As Cody and Leo set out to rescue Bob, they are unexpectedly captured by the mercenaries, leading to a race against time to locate Bob and thwart their enemies.
