Ibuse Masuji

    Masuji Ibuse was a Japanese novelist whose work demonstrates a profound engagement with Shakespeare, Basho, and French literature. Initially, his writing drew inspiration from personal experiences, including friendships and feelings of loneliness, experimenting with prose styles.
