Brian John Skillen is a filmmaker, writer, and international dance instructor whose global adventures have profoundly shaped his life, with his pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago leaving the deepest impression. Discovering a secret Knights Templar code within the cathedrals leading to Santiago in 2017 sparked his inspiration to write The Way: Through a Field of Stars. Since then, he has traversed over 1,000 miles across Spain for his novel, walking in his characters' footsteps and learning their lessons. The non-historical characters within the book are drawn from pilgrims he encountered on his own journey, to whom the work is dedicated.
