William Archer

    William Archer was a Scottish writer and theatre critic who, for most of his career, was based in London. He was an early advocate for the plays of Henrik Ibsen and a close friend and supporter of Bernard Shaw. Despite initially training for the law, Archer became deeply fascinated with the theatre, quickly establishing himself as an influential literary figure in London.
