More about the book

'This is the one. The first Spot book and also the first flap book. When I create 'Where's Spot?' over thirty years ago, its wasn't meant to be a published book - just a bit of fun that I thought up to asume my two-year old son Christopher for a night-time read. A simple hide-and-seek story - with a twist. The fun part of the story was provided by including a flap idea which encouraged Chris to actively help in the search for Spot. What lay behind the flap, of course, was the completely outlandish and unexpected visual surprise. No holds were bared! A pink piano? Certainly! An ornate grandfather clock? Why not? It was great fun to do and I can only hope that you, the reader, get as much fun out of the book as i did. Happy Reading!' In Spot's first adventure children can join in the search for the micschievous puppy by lifting the flaps on every page to see where he is hiding. 'Spot is one of the essential experience of childhood.' Parents magazine
