As the voyage unfolds, Ahab's fixation leads to tragic consequences, culminating in a fateful confrontation with Moby Dick. Ishmael, the sole survivor, clings to Queequeg's coffin for survival until rescued by the ship Rachel, which ironically continues its own search for a lost crew.
