Lydia has always wondered why her and her brother, Eddie, were abandoned in a field and then adopted. She is desperate to know who her real parents are. Then Lydia and Eddie start having strange dreams, which are identical... A beautiful woman claims to be his mother and pleads for his and his sister's help. Her kingdom is in danger because his father wants to take it over. They need to think together of the name Odette. Lydia persuades Eddie to put their hands on her favourite tree, that has always felt magical to her, and they both think of Odette's name. A strange purple mist transports them to a kingdom where they find the witch, Odette, and therein their adventures begin. They learn that their evil father is determined to start a war and break through into the human world, but how can they become involved in stopping him and can they harness the magic that they discover within themselves?
