The journey to the Moon unfolds through the experiences of three passengers: Impey Barbicane, the ambitious president of the Gun Club; his rival turned ally, Captain Nicholl; and the adventurous French scientist, Michel Ardan. Traveling in a hollow cannonball, they orbit the Moon and conduct geographical observations. However, their mission takes an unexpected turn when the projectile fails to land, sending them back toward Earth. Ultimately, they are rescued at sea and hailed as the first humans to venture beyond Earth.
