In this sequel to "The Day Morris Quit," Morris the horse, having befriended the skinny little boy in the spring, worries his new friend will not have time for him once he goes to school in the fall. Morris' outlook on life changes when his friend brings him to school and he realizes he doesn't have to be like the classmates but can just be himself. In keeping with the principles of growth mind-set, the story reveals discovering the value of friendship; accepting those that are different; and building self-esteem.
