More about the book
After a CIA mission goes awry, U.S. Air Force intelligence officer Nicholas Flynn finds himself exiled to a remote radar post in Alaska, a dead-end assignment meant to sideline his career. However, Flynn refuses to fade into obscurity. As winter storms ravage the region, Russian aircraft begin intruding into U.S. airspace, raising alarms about potential first strikes with long-range stealth missiles. Tensions escalate when an American F-22 collides with a Russian aircraft, resulting in a catastrophic missile launch and no survivors. Flynn and his security team are ordered to parachute into the crash site area, despite severe weather and the realization that the Pentagon and CIA are withholding critical information. They soon find themselves in a perilous game of hide-and-seek with Russian Spetsnaz commandos operating on American soil. Complicating matters, the Kremlin is searching for its missing stealth bomber, which disappeared during a test flight while armed with nuclear missiles. As the U.S. and Russia stand on the brink of war, Flynn must locate the missing bomber to avert a potential nuclear catastrophe.
