For Charles Dickens, each Christmas is better than the last. But when his latest book is a flop, his glorious life threatens to collapse. His publishers offer an ultimatum: write a Christmas book in a month, or they will call in his debts. With time running out, Dickens is propelled on a Scrooge-like journey through Christmases past and present.
